Weddings

A wedding is not one room

Most of the Indian weddings we decorate run across several days and more than one venue: a sangeet at a club house, haldi at home, the ceremony at the temple, the reception at a hotel. We plan and install all of it as one event, so the colours and flowers carry through instead of being negotiated venue by venue.

What we handle

What a wedding costs

A single function with a stage, florals and seating is typically a few thousand. A multi-day wedding across several venues runs into five figures. Every function is priced on its own line, so you can see what the sangeet costs separately from the reception and take anything out before you agree to it.

How a multi-day wedding is quoted

Tell us the venues and the dates you have, roughly how many guests, and anything you have already seen and liked. That is enough to write a quote. Each function is its own part of the same document, itemised line by line with photographs against the pieces, so the sangeet and the reception carry separate figures rather than one number covering everything. It usually reaches you the next working day, and you can read it and approve it from your phone.

What we bring to the room

Most of what goes into a wedding here is our own stock rather than a sub-rental: crystal and draped mandap pillars, chair covers and sashes by the hundred, drapery, lanterns, urli, brass diyas, vases and centrepiece glassware. We deliver, install and clear with our own team, which is what lets us commit to a venue load-in window and mean it.

If the date is not settled yet

Most of the quotes we write start before the date is fixed. Give us the month and the kind of venue you are looking at and we will quote against that, then adjust it when the date and the room are confirmed. Temples and hotels usually set the hours we are allowed to work in, so the venue is the detail worth telling us earliest.

Where we set up

Hotel ballrooms, banquet halls, temples, community centres and private homes across Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Apex and Pittsboro, and the rest of North Carolina. We have built at SV Temple and Marriott Crabtree among others. Private homes are half our venues, and a haldi morning or a mehndi in a family house goes in and comes out without damage to the house.
